Little Free Library Update

A Little Free Library supporter passed a $50 gift card our way last week, and we were delighted to go shopping for books to place in two of the newer little libraries in our neighbourhood.

One of the libraries can be found in front of the C. Nick Nicolle Community Centre (Durham Street), and the other, the "Elizabeth Fry-brary," outside the Elizabeth Fry offices at 75 Adelaide St., both in Saint John's Old North End.

Little Free Libraries are wonderful and important because they offer easy access to people who may find it difficult to get to a regular public library. Plus, LFLs have no fees, no fines, no forms to fill out, and no time limits on how long (or how often) you can read a book.  And they never close.

If you bring a book to leave, that's wonderful - but if you don't, it's all a-okay!

These two libraries have charters, which makes them part of the family of officially registered Little Free Libraries. Most chartered libraries can be found at the webpage https://littlefreelibrary.org/map/

Many thanks to our wonderful donors!
